I appreciate your thoughts and heart here. In retrospect, it's a small sacrifice with big rewards to submit to God's calling for your life. I know guys who have determined what church to serve in based on the money, climate, and yeah, even the size or "life" of the church. We've just got to be where God wants us and trust Him 100%. It goes back to the great perspective that it's just not about me. Great post. Thanks.

I do hope we're not dying, but I am in a church that - due to tragedy and the pastor's subsequent resignation - we've lost 50% of our congregation. It ain't the most exciting venue for leading worship right now, that's for sure. I do think we learn alot by choosing to remain faithful and to serve where others may not desire to do so. As you say, worship is important no matter where we are. I don't know where we'll end up or where I'll end up. I just don't know. But I do know that I am obeying God by serving His body in a church that is hurting and in pain. I pray God is pleased as we offer an offering of worship each week.
